Nicki and I started work at SLHPT on the same day and we reminded each other of our "special bond" from time to time. What is so clear is that she had a similarly special bond with everyone on the team - she was amazing at making every single person feel special, and valued. She was a wonderful friend and guide to so many of the registrars - endlessly supportive. I've lost count of the number of times she left work hours late because she was helping someone else, or having a really long phone conversation with a worried parent or member of the public - she was exceptionally generous with her time with patients and team members alike. She also was incredibly kind - taking me for lunch and pep talks before I had by babies, checking in on me afterwards (including offers of babysitting) and park meets with my daughter. She really was exceptional and will be missed so much.
